Official 10-Tier Texas Hold'em Hand Rankings (#1 to #10)
Hands are ranked by the best 5-card combination out of 7 cards (2 Hole Cards + 5 Community Cards). Highlighted cards form the primary hand and remaining cards act as Kickers.
Royal Flush
The highest possible Texas Hold'em hand consisting of A, K, Q, J, and 10 all of the same suit.
Under official WSOP and Poker TDA rules, all four suits (Spades, Hearts, Diamonds, Clubs) are completely equal in rank.
Straight Flush
Five consecutive cards of the same suit. Includes A-2-3-4-5 of the same suit (Steel Wheel).
If two players hold a Straight Flush, the hand with the highest top-ranking card wins the pot.
Four of a Kind (Quads)
Four cards of the same rank accompanied by the highest fifth side card (Kicker).
Higher four-of-a-kind rank wins; if the quads are on the community board, the player with the highest fifth card (Kicker) wins.
Full House (Boat)
Three cards of one rank combined with two cards (a pair) of another rank.
Compare the Three of a Kind rank first; if tied, the player with the higher Pair wins the pot.
Flush
Any five cards of the same suit, regardless of numerical sequence.
Compare from the highest card down from 1st to 5th in order. Suits themselves have no ranking hierarchy.
Straight
Five consecutive cards of mixed suits. Ace can play high (A-K-Q-J-10 Broadway) or low (5-4-3-2-A Wheel).
Under TDA/WSOP rules, 5-4-3-2-A (Wheel) is a 5-high straight and loses to 6-5-4-3-2. Wrap-around sequences like Q-K-A-2-3 are invalid.
Three of a Kind (Set · Trips)
Three cards of the same rank plus two unpaired side cards (Kickers). Called a Set with a pocket pair, or Trips when using the board.
Higher three-card rank wins; if tied, compare the highest Kicker then the second Kicker.
Two Pair
Two distinct pairs of matching ranks plus the highest fifth card as Kicker.
Compare the higher pair first, then the lower pair, then the 5th card (Kicker). Identical 5-card hands split the pot equally.
One Pair
Two cards of the same rank combined with the three highest remaining side cards (Kickers).
If both players hold the same pair, compare the three Kickers from highest to lowest.
High Card (No Pair)
When no pair or stronger combination is made, the hand is valued by its highest five individual cards.
Compare from the highest card down to the fifth card in order: A > K > Q > J > 10 > 9 > ... > 2.
1. Equal Suit Ranking (♠ = ♥ = ♦ = ♣)
Under official WSOP/TDA rules, all four suits (♠ · ♥ · ♦ · ♣) have identical rank. Hands with identical 5-card numerical ranks always split the pot equally regardless of suit.
2. Five-High Straight (A-2-3-4-5 Wheel) Rule
In an A-2-3-4-5 combination, the Ace counts as 1, making it a 5-high straight (the lowest straight). A 6-5-4-3-2 (6-high straight) therefore beats A-2-3-4-5.
3. Best 5 Cards & Board Chop Rule
Only the best 5 cards ever count at Showdown—the 6th and 7th cards are never compared. If the 5 community cards alone form the best hand for both players, the pot is split evenly.
10 Core Official Table Rules
Ten core operational rules enforced across all NEO Hold'em tables in accordance with Poker TDA and WSOP standards.
Standard 52-Card Deck & Fair Shuffle Every Hand
Uses a standard 52-card poker deck (4 suits × 13 ranks from 2 to Ace). The entire deck is freshly shuffled at the beginning of every single hand.
Minimum Opening Bet & Minimum Raise Increment
The minimum opening bet is 1 Big Blind (1 BB), and any raise must be at least equal to the previous valid bet or raise increment on that street.
Short-Stack All-In Under-Raise Exception
An all-in wager smaller than the minimum raise increment is valid but does not count as a Full Raise, so betting is not reopened for players who have already acted.
2-Player Heads-Up Dealer = Small Blind Rule
In 2-player Heads-Up play, the Dealer Button (D) posts the Small Blind (SB). The Dealer (SB) acts first Pre-Flop, and the Big Blind (BB) acts first on the Flop, Turn, and River.
Uncontested Pot Wins & Concealed Hole Cards (Muck)
If all opponents fold before Showdown, the last remaining player wins the pot immediately without revealing hole cards.
10 Official Hand Rankings, Suit Equality & Kickers
The best 5-card combination out of 7 cards wins. All four suits (♠ · ♥ · ♦ · ♣) are equal in rank, and identical 5-card hands split the pot evenly.
Multi-Way Side Pots & Instant Uncalled Bet Return
Multi-way all-in wagers with different stack depths are separated into a Main Pot and Side Pots. Any uncalled excess bet is returned immediately to the bettor.
Equal Split Pot Distribution
When two or more players tie with the exact same 5-card hand at Showdown, the pot is divided equally among the tied winners.
